Hong Kong Cancer Fund

Over the years we have received tremendous support from Savills Professions Sevens, who have helped support specific programmes and services designed to make life better for people touched by cancer.

This year, the Cancer Fund has continued to expand its network.

In September 2010, we opened our 3rd CancerLink support centre in Tin Shui Wai, where our oncology nurses, social workers and trained therapists extend our wide range of guidance and cancer support to patients and their families who live in New Territories West and surrounding districts.

In conjunction with this opening, we also introduced a pilot project called the Rainbow Club, helping children when cancer affects someone in the family. We recognise that children can experience feelings of isolation and anxiety when someone in the family has cancer, much like adults – and we’re committed to caring for the family as a whole. With the help of art therapists and expert counsellors, The Rainbow Club is a new extension of our service, located within our CancerLink support centre in Tin Shui Wai.

Relying solely on public generousity to sustain our free cancer support network, we’re indebted to our loyal supporters who recognise the importance of what we do and continue helping us ensure no one faces cancer alone.

If you would like to make a valuable contribution to our work, please consider joining our monthly giving programme, Circle of Friends. Assured income is essential for us to sustain our free and on-going cancer support services.

Again, we extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who supports the Savills Professions Sevens, helping us to better the future of cancer care and make life easier for those in our community now living with cancer. If you or someone you know could benefit from cancer support, please call our CancerLink Hotline on 3656 0800 or visit our website: http://www.cancer-fund.org/. We’re here to help.
